Best services
In Ruthless Raja and Suomussalmi you will find versatile services for every need
GPS- tracking
Preliminarily, 100 km skiers will be required to use GPS tracking devices, which must be kept on and with the participant throughout the entire skiing event.
Safety and First Aid
There will be an emergency first aid (EA) team along the route and one team at the finish line. The route goes through remote wilderness areas, so it may take some time to receive help. In the event of an injury, emergency assistance can be alerted by calling the general emergency number 112 (for serious cases) and the ICE numbers listed on the route map. ICE NUMBERS MUST BE SAVED IN YOUR MOBILE PHONE.
When calling for help, provide as precise a location as possible, including the nearest support station marked on the route map. All participants must keep their mobile phones with them and switched on throughout the event. The organizer must be able to contact the skier by phone if needed (e.g., if GPS tracking shows the participant is going the wrong way, etc.). Remember to charge your phone battery before the start and keep the sound on. If necessary, consider purchasing an additional battery for your phone to recharge it during the event.
