Perhaps the most emotional running event in Finland, the Raatteen Maraton, is approaching!
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, runners will once again traverse the historic Raate Road, in the spirit of the Winter War, honoring the veterans of our wars.
The route starts from the border zone and finishes in the Suomussalmi town center, in an area where every step carries the weight of history and respect for past generations.

A celebration of movement for children and youth! The Hippo Marathon is a free event open to everyone under the age of 16. Registration must be completed by 3:00 PM on August 15 via the registration form.
