The main organizers behind the Raatteen Maraton arrangements are Suomussalmi Rasti and the municipality of Suomussalmi. Since the beginning of the event, Kainuun Liikunta ry has also assisted in the organisation, marketing and administration work, and it will continue as a partner of the event in the coming year. The aim of Kainuun Liikunta is to help the municipalities of Kainuu to launch and organize profitable sports events that support tourism in the region.
