Categories and prizes
On the main race, there is a battle for cash prizes
In Vuokatti Hiihto, prizes are awarded to the three fastest skiers in all distances. In addition, the three fastest under 18-year-olds will be awarded separately in the 30 km classic and 30 km free.
The main races of Vuokatti Hiihto are women’s 50 km free and men’s 50 km free. In these categories, the top three finishers will be awarded cash prizes as follows:
1. Prize = 700 €
2. Prize = 500 €
3. Prize = 400 €
Vuokatti Vertical
Vuokatti Vertical adds an exciting new dimension to the Vuokatti Hiihto Ski Marathon! The Vuokatti Vertical uphill race is part of the Vuokatti Hiihto Ski Marathon, offering all 30 km, 50 km, and 100 km skiers a fantastic opportunity to challenge themselves in the approximately 1 km Rönkkö ascent.
About Vuokatti Vertical:
- Distance: approx. 1 km
- Route: Rönkkö ascent MAP HERE
- Prizes: Gift cards from Intersport for the fastest woman and man, for both skiing styles
- Competition: Part of the 30 km, 50 km and 100 km races
Vuokatti Vertical provides a chance to set your own challenge in the middle of your ski journey – you can choose to compete hard or go at a more relaxed pace and enjoy the journey at your own rhythm.

Event centre at the heart of Vuokatti
The Vuokatti Hiihto event centre is located in the heart of Vuokatti at Vuokatti Arena (address: Opistontie 1, Vuokatti). Competition office is open on Friday 13.3.2026 at 15-20 and on Saturday 14.3.2026 at 08.30-18.00. In the immediate vicinity, even within walking or skiing distance, you will find a wide selection of accommodation and other necessary services.8

Pasta Party
Vuokatti Hiihto’s Pasta party will be held on Friday 13.3.2026 at 17.00-20.00 at Vuokatti Sport (Opistontie 4, Vuokatti) O’las restaurant. There is a good carb refueling for the next day’s skiing, as well as a program and interesting interviews. Interviews at 19.00-19.30. The price of the meal is 22,80 € and it is reserved and paid in advance either at the time of registration in the registration service or later by logging in to your own registration information. However, the reservation must be made by 11.3.2026.
The menu of the evening will be updated on January 2026.

Euroloppet Ski Marathons
The Euroloppet family has amazing events all over the Europe
The Euroloppet Marathon ski series features high-quality, well-organised ski events from all over Europe. Ski touring around Euroloppet events is a great way to discover new places and cross-country skiing cultures. The events in the series are of medium size, making it easy to start a marathon skiing career. There is no need to stress the organisation, for example the start rushes are fewer than in the big races and the organisation is smooth. By redeeming your Euroloppet pass, you will always get a discount on the cost of participating in the series and other benefits.
In Finland, the Euroloppet series also includes the Jyväskylä Ski Marathon and the Ylläs-Levi Hiihto.

EUROLOPPET SUOMI TOUR
Cross-country skiers are in for a new challenge this winter as three of Finland’s finest marathon ski events join forces for the Euroloppet Suomi Tour.
In Finland, the series includes:
- Jyväskylä Ski Marathon 7th March 2026
- Vuokatti Hiihto 14th March 2026
- Ylläs-Levi Hiihto powered by Fischer 10th-11th April 2026
The Finnish Euroloppet marathon ski races are nicely placed in the calendar. Why not to make a 1,5-week trip to Finland to take part first in Vuokatti Hiihto and then in Jyväskylä Ski Marathon in following weekends! Easiest way would be to fly to Helsinki and rent a car. To feel the unique Lappish atmosphere and sunshine, finish your ski season in Ylläs-Levi Hiihto in April.
Join the Euroloppet Finland Tour and ski all three events!
Here’s how to do it:
- Buy your Euroloppet pass
- Register for all three events on the website of each event
- Enter your Euroloppet pass number when registering (you will receive a discount on the entry fee)
Once you have skied all three events, you will receive:
- Free entry to an event outside Finland the following winter
- Euroloppet product giveaway at the finish area of Ylläs-Levi Hiihto
- You will be entered into a prize draw with a fantastic grand prize of registration and two nights half-board accommodation for two people at the Gsieser Tal-Lauf in Italy next winter 2027
The Gsieser Tal-Lauf, a Euroloppet Suomi Tour partnership skiing event, is the second largest marathon skiing event in Italy and will delight you with its Tyrolean atmosphere, good food and music. It will take place over two days in February in the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics scenery. Finnish Student Championships
Fight for the students' Finnish championship
The Finnish Student Championships (FSC) consist of national championship tournaments for Finnish higher education students. The FSC brings together thousands of students from Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences every year. The idea behind the FSC is to offer an enjoyable sporting format for students regardless of their skill level. The whole concept is based on the joy of sports and bringing people together to have fun!
Vuokatti Hiihto offers a wide range of distance options from 14 kilometers to 50 kilometers, along with diverse services before and after the event, ensuring the most memorable mass skiing experience of the year.
The Finnish Student Championship will be held in the 50 km freestyle and 50 km classic categories. All students who participate in the 14 km leisure series will be entered into a prize draw for surprise rewards. All university and college students are eligible to participate.
How to register for the Student Championship Series:
– Check below if you are a member of the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL). Members of OLL receive a discount on the participation fee.
